“The Canterbury Shakers were often on the leading edge of technology,” noted Funi Burdick, Executive Director. “As innovators and entrepreneurs they were quick to see the value in new technologies and were among the first in the state to embrace and own an automobile. The Vintage Car Show and our partnership with the White Mountain Regional Chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America is a tribute to this aspect of the Shakers’ heritage.”

Other upcoming events at Canterbury Shaker Village include Ghost Encounters on October 25 and Christmas at Canterbury on December 6 and 13. Upcoming Shaker-inspired workshops include Shaker Broom Making on October 4; A Naturopathic Biomedical Tune-up—Adrenal Health on October 18, Fresh Pasta and the Healing Power of Art on October 19.
