Popular Wooden Boat Restoration Course Offered by NH Boat Museum

Enroll today to learn how to make your wooden boat a thing of beauty!

The New Hampshire Boat Museum in Wolfeboro will offer a Wooden Boat Restoration Course beginning October 3. “This course is a terrific opportunity to learn how to repair and rebuild a wood boat to achieve a safe, sound vessel and maintain its beauty.” indicated NHBM Board Chair Hank Why.
The course is designed to remove the mystique of wooden boat restoration and will cover such fundamentals as the assessment of an old wooden boat, planking, steam bending, varnishing and more.
The course consists of six classes over a two-week period from October 3 through 14, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 3pm.  The classes will take place in the Museum’s Storage & Workshop Building on the Museum property at 399 Center Street, Wolfeboro.
The cost is $495 per person and includes all six classes, a reference book and a 2012 Museum membership.  No previous experience is required.
To register, visit the Museum’s website at www.nhbm.org and download the form or pick up an application at the Museum. Mail your completed form with payment to the New Hampshire Boat Museum, PO Box 1195, Wolfeboro Falls, NH 03896.
